being的使用方法

这是两个人的对话，B说的不是一个句子，这里为何直接用了being呢？这个being这是什么使用方法？

A的句子中，it的所指为什么，听话人是没办法听了解的。本来A 有义务说明 it 指什么但却没说。即他本该说“It” being the “Ghost” of Josephus Miller they referred to intheir broadcasts，即用独立主格结构对“it”（注意it带有引号）做补充说明。因为他没说这个独立主格结构，于是B 替他补上了这个独立主格结构，句末用问号，即你说话人本来是要这么说的吗？
